Week 7 Preview: The Big Stack

It’s Saturday evening prior to week 7.

There is a tilting event that has come to my attention in the past 24 hours. I’ll discuss further down.

As usual, I will go over a few thoughts I have on the slate and provide Cash God Guarantee number 2.

Initially, after the shuffling of the schedule, I thought the Raiders were in line to have the Bucs defense absolutely slap them in the face with the long dick of the law when they put the entire offensive line on the COVID list, but it looks like they will play. Bucs DL to Derek Carr:

The rest of the slate looks extremely high scoring which sets up for a fun week.

I’ll start with QBs. The QBs I like this week are Murray (of course), Dick Rod (Rodgers), Watson, Matt Ryan, Stafford, and Joe Burrow. I left out Wilson because I don’t see myself paying $8k for a QB without having to reach to the caverns of dustballs at WR.

I’ll just get it out of the way, I love Joe Burrow this week. I see that game being underowned and he is probably going to throw the ball 60 times. Easy comeback with Shit Chest or Kareem Hunt (or both).

In terms of RBs I think you can get a little creative. The tilting thing that occurred in the last 24 hours is that the Chargers activated RB Troymaine Pope from the practice squad. I don’t think anyone has any idea who the fuck that is, but it is relevant because My Cash God Guarantee was going to be Justin Jackson. I don’t think I can do that anymore with this dustball being called up to the big leagues. I assume that means Jackson may not play.

Absolute bullshit. I was ready to go about 75% Justin Jackson this week.

Alvin Kamara is once again going to be mega-chalk. An interesting pivot against an absolute ass shit defense against the run is the Tay Train (Latavius Murray). I could see Kamara getting a lot of work as a receiver with Sanders and Thomas out, leaving carries for Murray. If he turkey vultures a touchdown or 2 from Kamara that could provide you with the leverage you need to win big. If I end up sticking with this call I might need to purchase a new TV based on the permanent imprint or denting that may occur.

Other running backs I like are Kareem Hunt, Ronald Jones (Holy shit I’m seeing 3% ownership that can’t be right), Joshua Kelley (If Jackson is out), and Todd Gurley.

Besides Kamara, something I like to fade is Gio Bernard. The Cincinnati offensive line is absolute dog shit. He could still get there at $4.5k but I’m going elsewhere and hopefully leveraging off that 25% ownership. I could be talked into it, but he seems extremely dusty and I’m having a hard time clicking him.

At WR, as always, you get some leverage. As I mentioned earlier, Burrow is my favorite QB this week by a wide margin. Stacking Burrow with Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd is a cheap, good stack with tournament winning potential. You don’t really have to worry about the corpse of AJ Green sleepwalking into the picture anymore. Slip in Shit Chest or Kareem Hunt on the comeback. Mike Breen BANG!!!!!

Like I said with MIN-ATL last week you have a similar situation in the AZ-SEA game this week. I think all WR are viable on both sides. Same with GB-HOU. I’m not going to talk about these obvious spots at length, no one gives a shit. Just stack them or use pieces of them in your other stacks. Other great spots are DET-ATL and Carolina passing game vs a very weak Saints defense.

The TEs. This week we have 3 premium TE and then mostly dust. It comes down to picking Kittle/Kelce or going to the depths of dust and playing one of the $3k-$4k guys. I could see an argument for Hunter Henry, but that’s probably the highest I would go besides the premiums.

For defense I’ll be mostly playing Washington. Andy Dalton is so fucking bad and the line is really banged up. Easy 10 sacks and a pick 6 or two, median projection of course. I think the Bucs, Cowboys, Browns, and Jets are also in play.

We’ve arrived at the Cash God Guarantee. Like I said above, I had to pivot off my previous thought of Justin Jackson given the circumstances.

I haven’t had this much conviction on a stack yet this year so I’ll go with Burrow to Higgins and Boyd as my CGG for the week. I’m going to be heavy on that stack. I love the ownership, price, and upside that Burrow has this week. He put up 28 pts against the Browns already this year in a game that went over 60 total points. Call in someone to repair the sheetrock if this stack hits, there will be a hole that looks like it was drilled into my wall after a rocket shoots through my pants.

I’ll be back with a recap article on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
